We love when family members want to share their talents and passions with our residents!

Thanks to Sally and her friends for coming out Saturday to help make blankets that were then donated to the Great Plains SPCA! We’re thankful that we got to be included in helping animals waiting to find a home.

We had a cozy spa day this morning! Some gentle shoulder rubs, hand massagers, and back massagers on our chairs to get loosened up for the weekend! It was tough getting these two to leave when it was all said and done!

We always love to have Bob come out and play some great tunes for us. He provides the tunes, and we provide the moves!

Memory Care decided we needed a lot of treats today! A little ice cream in the nice weather while we watered our plants, followed by a quick trip over to MoJo's Coffeehouse for some coffee and hot chocolate!

Some days are just great days to kick back, relax, and enjoy some nice treats!

We tried out a new game today to test out our dexterity a bit!

It’s easy to pass a ring around a circle, but what about when you can only use a pool noodle and one hand? And what about when the activity director starts pestering you in the middle of passing??

A “mom” comes in many different forms, and we are thankful for every one of them!

It was such an honor to host our Mother’s Day Tea Party today and just enjoy some tea, finger foods, most of all, each other during a usually busy weekend.

Thanks again to all of those called “mom” in whatever way you might be one. We’re so thankful for you and the work you’ve done as a mother to someone very special to you!

We tried our hand at q-tip painting this morning! It was great to see all of the ways they got creative with a different type of paint brush, and all of their fun takes on a potted plant!

We closed out nursing week with the reminder that it’s teamwork that does in fact make the dream work!

We celebrated the great team work that goes on at Oak Pointe with Twin Day as a great way to show the connections we have that make what we do possible.

Thanks again to all of the great hospice teams that helped us celebrate our nursing staff this week, and an even bigger shoutout to the nursing staff of Oak Pointe for all of the care they give our wonderful residents!

Our nursing staff is great at keeping things cozy even amidst the occasional chaos. We celebrated that today with pajama day!

Thanks also to Ascend Hospicefor a great McAllisters lunch and a coffee bar from ACG Hospice to celebrate our floor staff and all they do here at Oak Pointe!

ALSO thanks to our Director of Nursing, Nikki Johnson, for all she does to keep our residents medical needs met!

Our staff really knows how to withstand the heat that the work brings, so we celebrated that with Hawaiian Day here at Oak Pointe!

Thanks also to Interim Health Care for the breakfast kolaches and Good Shepherd Hospice - Independence for a great dirty soda bar this afternoon!
