Central Nebraska Veterans Home hosted a ceremony today honoring Army veteran Ray as its guest of honor. His son pinned him, and Ray received a certificate and an Army blanket. The VA staff and Ray's family participated in the celebration, coming together to acknowledge his military service. We offer our thanks to Ray for his dedicated service.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

This moment is a powerful reminder: hospice volunteering isn’t about fixing or saving. It’s about being present—bearing witness to someone’s story, their music, their life.

On the day of his 89th birthday, we were honored to also do a special Veteran Pinning Ceremony at the Callaway Good Life Center.
