A Ceremonial Road Opening in Honor of Elegua

Join us on Friday, June 13th as we gather in community to work with the energy of Elegua, the keeper of the crossroads, opener of roads, messenger, and guardian of opportunity.

Through prayer, intention, offerings, spiritual work, cleansing, and collective energy, we will come together to remove blockages, clear stagnant paths, and open the roads for blessings, clarity, prosperity, peace, and movement as we enter the summer season.

This will be a ceremonial experience rooted in prayer, ancestral connection, spiritual elevation, and manifestation. Together we will create space for new doors to open and for the paths meant for us to become illuminated.

✨ What the gathering includes:
• Road opening prayers and petitions
• Candle and offering work for Elegua
• Spiritual cleansing and energy clearing
• Intention setting and manifestation work
• Music, prayer, and spiritual elevation

🗝 Suggested Offering to Bring for Elegua:
• 3 candies or sweets
• A small toy or trinket
• Coconut, ci**rs, or pennies
• Red and black candle
• Fresh flowers or fruit
(Offerings are optional but encouraged)

Please wear white or light colors if possible.

They say dogs are just animals…
but our ancestors knew better.

In Taíno tradition, dogs weren’t just pets.
They walked beside the people.
They protected the home.
They felt energy before we even had words for it.
They were companions in this life…
and in many ways, guides between worlds.

Our ancestors moved with the understanding
that animals carry spirit too.
That they see what we don’t.
That they guard, they warn, they love without condition.

The Aon dogs, now gone from this physical world, were once part of that rhythm of life
in the Caribbean… in our lineage.

So when your dog sits beside you while you pray, when they stare into a space you can’t see, when they stay close when your spirit feels heavy… that’s not random. That’s memory.
That’s instinct.
That’s something ancient still walking with you.
Honor them.
They’ve always been more than just animals.

The Power of the Spirits Who Work with Herbs/Plants 🌿✨

Within the spiritual world, there are spirits who work deeply with the energy of plants and herbs. These spirits know the secrets of nature: they know which leaf cleanses, which protects, which opens roads, and which restores calm to the soul.

When a medium or espiritista works with herbs, it is often not only human knowledge, but also the guidance of those spirits who teach how to prepare a spiritual bath, a cleansing, or a spiritual removal of negative energy. They transmit ancient wisdom the same wisdom that comes from the earth and from the ancestors.

Herbs are not simple plants; they are carriers of strength and spiritual medicine. That is why, when they are used with faith, respect, and good intention, they can cleanse burdens, refresh the spirit, attract well-being, and balance a person’s energy.

Those who walk hand in hand with these spirits learn something very important:

In a world where tradition has become trendy, many imitate what they do not understand.

The path I walk was not taught by the internet. It was given through lineage, elders, and the spirits, and orishas that walk with me. This work and these practices carry responsibility and the spirits know the difference.

The internet can teach aesthetics, but it cannot give you lineage. The Orishas know who truly walks with them… and who is only performing.

✨ I’m sitting in deep gratitude and reflection after our Tending to the Self: Spiritual Hygiene gathering.

This wasn’t a class. It wasn’t a workshop. It was people coming together the way our ancestors always did in circle, in conversation, in trust, learning how to care for our spirit the same way we care for our bodies.

Together we worked with the plants, touched them, smelled them, learned their purpose, and created our own escobas by hand.
In those moments, it felt like more than just crafting it felt like remembering that our hands are guided by those who came before us, our ancestors walking with us as we learn and work together.

These are the teachings that live in our lineages. The kind that are passed hand to hand, generation to generation, so our children and our children’s children remember who they are and how to tend to themselves.

I’m always humbled by the trust people place in this space and in my guidance. Thank you to everyone who came with an open mind and open heart. When we gather like this, we are not just learning we are remembering. Thank you as always to my co-facilitator and spiritual sister and her magic hands

So many people reached out asking to join after hearing about this gathering, and I’m grateful for the interest and the love. Because of that, we’ll be offering this same gathering again in March for those who missed the first one.
