What non-domiciled CDL applicants must do
To obtain a non-domiciled CDL, an eligible non-citizen must provide their state's licensing agency with specific documents, which the agency then uses to conduct the SAVE verification.
Required documents include:
• An unexpired foreign passport.
• An unexpired Form I-94/I-94A (Arrival/Departure Record), which must indicate one of the following employment-based nonimmigrant visa categories:
◦ H-2A Visa: Temporary agricultural workers.
◦ H-2B Visa: Temporary non-agricultural workers.
◦ E-2 Visa: Treaty investors.
