An active account will be required to access Motus, the new USDOT Registration System.

***ALERT***
If you are transferring a CDL to New Jersey from another state, you must go to the motor vehicle office FIRST before getting a DOT Medical Card. They will issue you a NJ license number that needs to be used on a new medical card which NJ is now requiring. NJ will no longer accept medical cards with your old CDL license number from another state. Note: New Jersey is the only state requiring that a new medical card be issued that we are aware of.

FMCSA has zero tolerance for fraud in our safety systems – that includes the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.

We’re rolling out enhanced identity verification, starting with new registrations for employers, Medical Review Officers, Consortium/Third-party administrators (C/TPAs) and Substance Abuse Professionals through IDEMIA – the same platform used by TSA.

With more than 6 million users in the Clearinghouse, the stakes are too high to leave any gaps.

Next, these stronger standards will be applied to all existing Clearinghouse accounts for the same user groups

If you’re in the system, you’ll be verified. Period.

Alaska
California
Kentucky
Louisiana
New Hampshire
ALLOW 5 DAYS FOR YOUR EXAM RESULTS TO BE TRANSMITTED FROM THE FMCSA TO YOUR STATE. STATES WILL NO LONGER ACCEPT PAPER COPIES.
