Honoring World IVF Day with Surrogacy
Two IVF Rounds, One Hope-Filled Journey
Today, on World IVF Day, I’m reflecting on the path that brought me to where I am: being a gestational surrogate—a journey of science, strength, and deep purpose.
Over the past year, I’ve completed two rounds of IVF, not for myself, but to help another family hold the baby they’ve been dreaming of.
The first round was filled with hope but ended in disappointment. And as any IVF warrior knows, that heartbreak is uniquely heavy—full of shots, appointments, hormones, and all the emotional ups and downs that come with placing your body on the line for a chance at life.
Still, I knew this calling ran deeper than one cycle. So we tried again. And this second time… it worked. 🥹💕
✨ As a surrogate, I get to carry a child for someone else—to nurture life and give it back as the most sacred gift. The science behind IVF makes this possible. But it’s the shared humanity, trust, and love between all of us—the intended parents, the doctors, the support people, and surrogates like me—that make it miraculous.
Whether you’re navigating IVF for yourself, dreaming of becoming a parent, supporting someone through their journey, or walking a path like mine, you are not alone. Your story matters.
