Please remember that October is Domestic Violence Month. This violence takes many different forms and in so many families. If you or someone you know is experiencing this, Please refer them to the proper agency for help.
We stand ready to work with the Batterers to better their lives, educate them and hopefully a return to their families.

We were fortunate to have been invited to promote our Domestic Violence Batterer's Program at the Cheshire Medical Center. Had many interested people stop by and talk to Dana about our services.

The Keene area is seeing an increase in COVID cases being reported. The City of Keene is revisiting a mask requirements. We at CIA want everyone to be safe whether they're clients or staff. With that in mind, we are now requiring people to wear a mask upon entry to the facility. Remember also the importance of obtaining your COVID shots, it's important for you as well as your family and friends.

With Holidays come stress and depression, people turn to substances to deal with these issues. Please reach out to support systems for the holidays you may need. Remain strong in your resolve to be substance free.

As a facility dealing with Substance Abuse, the one need we felt we needed was adding a MAT programming component, this Medically Assisted Treatment was accomplished by adding a clinician to our team. This affords our team the opportunity to provide our clients with the up to date care by allowing our people meet and design best quality service for our clients.

The CIA Story

Community Improvement Associates was born from an idea that Butch Estey and John Gramuglia had regarding a lack of counseling for people who were involved in the correctional, probation and parole or the legal system. It has since evolve into a behavioral health agency with offices in Keene and Manchester, NH. The nickname of CIA was actually coined by a Keene District Court judge who one day called on Butch in court to step forward. Butch not hearing our agency, Community Improvement Associates, called remained seated until he was called by name. The name of CIA has stuck ever since.

We are very fortunate to have well educated, caring licensed counselors, who really care about our clients and the behavioral health needs. Be it in our Substance Abuse work, Anger Management/Domestic Violence Batter’s program or the Sexual Offender program, the clients are always treated with respect and dignity.

The Agency added the Impaired Driver Case Management Program (IDCMP) which is licensed by the State of NH to provide programming for the required process for individuals who have been convicted of Driving while Impaired (DWI) to get their licenses reinstated.
