I have just returned from my first training in "The Trager Approach" - a way of working with the mind/body that repatterns the nervous system by introducing experiences of less restriction and holding, and greater ease, lightness, and freedom. It is a gentle and playful way of working, and of living in our bodies & minds!

I need to do at least 30 practice sessions before moving on to Level 2 - I invite you to come play with me! Sessions are performed fully clothed (tank top or t-shirt & shorts, soft pants, etc.) and include both tablework and some standing/sitting movement explorations to sustain learning between sessions. This work is so easeful, yet so profound. Practice sessions are offered by donation and include a brief feedback form for me at the end.

Please message me or visit my website and click "Contact" to send me an email to schedule an appointment!

Our Story

I have had a lifelong curiosity about the human condition - what gives life meaning, how/why we humans do what we do, and especially about the gifts and the relief of suffering. After studying sociology in my undergraduate work, I discovered yoga in my early 20s. This led to a nearly 30 year involvement with that wisdom tradition, 20 of those as a Kripalu certified yoga teacher.

Since 2005 I have been studying and practicing Buddhist meditation with various teachers in the Vipassana and Insight meditation traditions, and most recently with the monks at Temple Forest Monastery right here in NH. I have also trained in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) - a protocol for preventing recurrence of Major Depression. My experience teaching meditation includes the deeply rewarding work of guiding those struggling with addictions both in rehabilitative settings and at the county jail.

In 2010 I received a Master's in Mental Health Counseling, a program rooted in the client-centered approach of psychologist Carl Rogers. One of his most renowned students, Eugene Gendlin, developed the body-based technique known as "Focusing" which I offer in my work.

The latest evolution in my path of healing service has been training and receiving my license in massage therapy. It is a journey of continuous gratitude and wonder, seeing all these threads of my own search for understanding and freedom coming together in one complementary healing business. I look forward to the opportunity to share my inspiration and what I am learning with you.
