Excited that we’ll be headed to another Earth skills gathering next month! 10/5-6 is Ground Nut Gathering 🌰🫶I’ll be teaching an elderberry syrup workshop & an herb walk 🌿We can’t wait for this opportunity to get one last weekend of skill sharing in this fall! Also can’t wait to hang with my pals & .wampus 😉

What’s part of your daily herbal routine? 🍵🌿 For me, it’s prioritizing systems that get most of balance, are sensitive to environmental influences, and responsible for clearing out the “gunk” 💩I love this powder I made from dried herbs that are super common to find and forage in your local landscapes!

It’s not just for colds and flus… what you didn’t know is

🌿This herb is also a LYMPHATIC — it contains a phytonutrient, alkylamide which is known to stimulate the immune system functions by activating T Cells. These cells can activate lymph function helping to clear out the gunk.

🌿We can use this herb TOPICALLY! It actually is one of the best more sustainable fast acting antimicrobials for epithelial tissue infection, irritation and inflammation. Great for acne!

Fantastic weekend teaching at 💖🌿🧺 I taught herbal elixirs & evergreen resin salves + also got to take ‘s cyanotype workshop! Part of the experience was being able to just enjoy the grounds there. The amazing herb gardens & magical woodland vibe always inspires!

Though we’ve entered a different time in the Elderberry’s stage of life, it’s important to remember the roots 🍇🌸🌿 The berries emerge from fragrant, milky flowers - like these which are just about to bloom! This is always a fun one to engage students with, whether in-person- directly with the live herb, through medicine making, or in-directly mentioning it in lecture. What a wonderful plant to know and play with all year round!✨
