What would you do if you knew you had a choice? If your choice could influence your health for the better? If your choice was a pretty tasty one, colorful, with great texture? Have a few minutes to review the evidence?

We are entering a season of Thanksgiving, a long-standing American holiday. We typically think of family and a chance to highlight what we are thankful for. At the same time, the news is replete of articles and evidence about the influence loneliness is having on our health and wellness.

What activity appeals to you? And please don't tell me finger movement on a small device while you watch colorful images on a big screen appeal to you the most.
What about throwing a disc, aiming for a basket? Tossing a ball for a dog? Swimming in a lake. A walk at sunset?
There are so many fun ways to engage in physical activity-indoors or out, and your body really does appreciate your attention to these details. Do engage in full body movement!
Is your new year off to a good start? It is January, and a time that many of us consider our health and our habits. I encourage you to consider what you eat and how much you engage in physical activity.
While November is highlighted in this graphic for addressing Diabetes-it is good to work to prevent diabetes or work to control it-anyone someone has symptoms or a diagnosis that correlates with this chronic disease.
We are thinking about you and your health as we begin a new year. We intend to share some information and tips our senior nursing students have put together based on the evidence they reviewed as they learned about health promotion for various infectious and chronic diseases. We trust you will find the graphics and associated websites helpful, offering ways to improve your well-being and enjoyment of life.
