🌟 Success Spotlight: A.J.’s Journey to Confidence and Connection 🌟
For over a decade, A.J. has been living with disabilities — focusing on her health, learning coping skills, and building resilience. With encouragement from her support team, she decided to take the next step: reconnecting with work through Monadnock Family Services’ Supported Employment program.
“At first, I felt my chances were pretty slim,” A.J. shared. “I didn’t think I had the right skills for any job.”
Working alongside her Supported Employment Specialist, Shar, A.J. discovered new confidence — learning that anxiety is normal, practicing interview skills, and realizing that meaningful work doesn’t have to be full-time to make a difference.
“My specialist was incredible — instrumental in helping me go back to work for the second time,” A.J. said.
👏 Today, A.J. is not only working again but thriving — proving that with the right support, courage, and community, success is always within reach.

We were thrilled to join Day of Caring last week! After a wonderful community breakfast, volunteer teams from local businesses spread out across the city to lend a hand.
An amazing group from came to Emerald House and got right to work — scrubbing walls and stairwells, deep cleaning the kitchen and fridge, and finishing ahead of schedule. They brought energy, laughter, and smiles all day long.
We’re so grateful for their support and the spirit of community that Day of Caring inspires! 💙

September marks National Su***de Prevention Month. For mental health crises, Monadnock Family Services is here to help.

MFS offers a walk-in clinic Monday through Friday from 9 am to 3 pm at 40 Avon St. in Keene that is available to everyone, not just clients.

If you are not feeling safe or need mental health help outside the clinic's hours, reach out to NH Rapid Response, available 24/7, at 833-710-6477.

Camryn is an absolute standout at MFS! As a Peer Specialist on our HOPE team, she has been a leader across NH in shaping the Peer role in First Episode Psychosis care. Her research on brain circuitry, cultural resiliency, and neural pathways has earned her a spot as a primary panelist at an upcoming national conference. 🎉 We’re so proud to celebrate her innovation, leadership, and impact here in the Monadnock region and beyond! 💙

From dance and art to new friendships and a final performance for their families, the week was filled with growth, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
