September marks National Su***de Prevention Month. For mental health crises, Monadnock Family Services is here to help.

MFS offers a walk-in clinic Monday through Friday from 9 am to 3 pm at 40 Avon St. in Keene that is available to everyone, not just clients.

If you are not feeling safe or need mental health help outside the clinic's hours, reach out to NH Rapid Response, available 24/7, at 833-710-6477.

Timely conversations, powerful partnerships.

Yesterday, Senator Jeanne Shaheen asked Monadnock Family Services to host a dynamic roundtable discussion regarding the impact of proposed federal Medicaid cuts on some of the Monadnock region’s most vulnerable residents– folks like MFS patients seeking mental health care services.

We were honored to welcome voices from across the region — including ABLE NH— who powerfully highlighted the importance of disability rights, inclusion, and equity in mental health services.

👥 Big day at Monadnock Family Services!

We were honored to welcome Senator Jeanne Shaheen to our Avon Street office today. She spent time meeting with staff and addressing community stakeholders on the future of Medicaid, the importance of accessible mental health services, and the growing needs in our region.

When do MFS mental health care professionals turn into advocates for public funding? Only when it is absolutely necessary for the effective care of our patients.

Thanks to New Hampshire Union Leader for highlighting MFS Chief Medical Officer and Interim CEO, Dr. Melinda Asbury, who stood in solidarity with local healthcare professionals and impacted community members yesterday in opposition to NH work requirement and new health care premiums for patients on Medicaid.
