🤒 Not all sore throats are the same! Here’s how to spot the difference between a simple sore throat and strep:

👎 Sore throat (often viral): cough, runny nose, mild pain
⚠️ Strep throat: sudden severe pain, fever/chills, white patches in the throat, no cough

When in doubt, come see us! Our team can do a quick strep test and get your child the right treatment—whether that’s rest & fluids or antibiotics.

Helping kids build healthy habits today sets them up for a brighter tomorrow! ☀️ September is National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month, and preventing it starts with small, everyday choices:

⏳ Aim for at least 60 minutes of active play or exercise daily
🥦 Fill plates with fruits, veggies, and whole grains
🚫 Limit sugary drinks and snacks
🛌 Make sure they get enough sleep each night
📱 Encourage less screen time and more lean time

💊 Keeping kids safe starts at home, and safe medication practices save lives. Here are a few easy tips to keep your kids happy and healthy:

👀 Store meds out of reach & sight
⚖️ Always dose by your child’s weight
🔎 Prevent accidental overdoses with clear labels & measuring tools
🙅‍♀️ Never give adult medicine to children

🗑️ Safely dispose of unused/expired medications, especially narcotics and opioids. Local pharmacies, hospitals, and law enforcement can help dispose of these medications through the Drug Take-Back Program. Do NOT flush medications down the toilet as they can harm the environment and aquatic life.
