Birth and Family Midwifery wants to help you and your baby practice nursing to deepen that love relationship. La Leche League is a great resource for those "middle of the night" struggles. We schedule clinic visits for breastfeeding support on M, W, F for babies 2 weeks and older. Our midwife tries to come to you in those early days. Feel free to call the clinic to schedule, 360.749.0010. We accept most insurances.

We like to say at La Leche League, “Nursing is natural like loving, not natural like breathing.” It’s normal for it to take time for you and your baby to figure out what works best. He puts this so well. Many of you whom we’ve worked with on oral ties are aware that Midwife Kathleen Wirtz shares the same beliefs. We try to see how much we can gain improvement before we jump to a release. Gotta love those babies!!

We are adding a part time or full time position to our office staff. Phlebotomy skills required. Also looking for experience with EHR systems, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and good customer service skills. COVID vaccine or preventive measures required.
