Job description:

Overview
We are seeking a passionate individual to join our culinary team. As a Kitchen Team Member, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that we are known for. This position requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties
Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu plans, ensuring consistency and quality.
Assist in menu planning, taking into consideration seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Maintain food safety standards by following proper sanitation practices and guidelines.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other cooking tools.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
Clean and organize kitchen work areas, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.

Payton Hunley and Evan Mohr are Co-Chairs for our Events Committee, where they will plan and coordinate social and professional development events and workshops!

Payton Hunley is a Grants and Program Associate at The Dekko Foundation. She is also the Girls Volleyball Head Coach at East Noble School Corporation! A fun fact about Payton is she married her high school sweetheart. 🥹

Evan is the Kendallville Branch Manager at MidWest America Federal Credit Union. Some fun facts about Evan is he has 4 sisters and 0 brothers, and he has co-piloted a jet! ✈️
