February has arrived and that means the return of the Heart Health Month special, the $75 Calcium Scoring Exam package at OKMH! This valuable exam can be had this month by calling their Imaging Department to schedule at 830-583-4587. This entire package is over a $500 value. A CAC detects build up of plaque in blood vessels causing the narrowing or blockage of arteries that can lead to heart attack, and is recommended for women over 45 and men over 40 with a heart disease risk factor. The package also includes an EKG, Cholesterol and A1C checks, key indicators in overall heart health. Talk to your Provider about whether this test is right for you. If you are one of our patients just call OKMH to schedule, they will have a Physicians order on file - so simple!
