Our February Mommy & Me was full of giggles, splashes, and SO much language growth packed into one sweet hour 💙🌧️

We sang The Itsy Bitsy Spider, made rainmakers, splashed in water, and spent time focusing on gestures…one of the most important building blocks for early language.

☝🏻Before little ones can say the words, they show us what they mean by pointing, waving, reaching, and clapping. Those early gestures help grow vocabulary later on! 🗣️

Parents went home with simple tips, age expectations, and easy ways to model gestures during everyday routines.🫱🏻‍🫲🏾

Our next class is Monday, March 30 at 10 AM! Spots are limited (the last two have been FULL!), classes are $10, and the link will be posted next week.

Community Spotlight 💕

This Valentine’s season, The Speech Shed kiddos were adopted by community members from Karnes and Wilson County.

Each Valentine remained anonymous to respect our families privacy. Some adopters chose to stay anonymous, while others are tagged below so we can celebrate their generosity.

Whether your name is listed or not, please know how deeply grateful we are. Your kindness helps our kids feel seen, celebrated, and encouraged for all the hard work they put in every single week.

It truly takes a village and we are so thankful ours is something special.

🧩We hosted our very first Autism Support Group at The Speech Shed, and my heart is so full.🧩

This space held vulnerability, meaningful conversations, new connections, and moms who had never met before yet shared so much in common. Parenting is beautiful, but it’s also hard and having a place to breathe, relate, and feel like you belong matters so much.

I hope you’ll join us next month 🫶🏻 I am excited to welcome Paula Lyssy, owner of Rural Texas Psychoeducational Services, PLLC, who will be helping lead next month’s group. Paula is a Licensed Professional Counselor/Licensed School Psychologist. I can’t wait to learn from her and hear the wisdom she brings.

💛Today’s Raising Healthy Families event was one for the books 💛

A full kitchen. Tables packed with colorful, nutrient-dense ingredients. And families learning how to build simple protein bowls that actually work for real life.

This wasn’t about perfection or fancy recipes.
It was about fuel.

Fuel for:
• the busy mama running out the door
• the college student juggling work + school
• the parent trying to keep everyone fed and regulated
