FRIDAY WEATHER UPDATE

Due to the incoming winter weather expected this weekend and the potential for extended power outages, Vision Recovery will not meet in person tonight.

This decision is rooted in care and wisdom — giving people space to prepare, take care of their homes and families, and not feel rushed or pressured.

We’ll regroup and be back together next week.

Victory is still possible!!

This Friday we’ll gather for Week 4 of Step 1 — The Power of Weakness.

The focus is simple but important:
Powerless does not mean abandoned.

Many of us have learned to equate strength with faithfulness and control with responsibility. So when power runs out, it can feel unsettling — even lonely.

This night isn’t about fixing anything.
It’s about staying honest with God instead of rushing back to self-sufficiency.

If you’ve noticed weight and aren’t sure what to do with it yet,
this is a safe place to keep walking — together.

Motivation Monday

“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

That invitation isn’t rushed, dramatic, or demanding.
It’s gentle — and it’s honest.

Many of us are tired not because we’ve failed,
but because we’ve been carrying weight we were never designed to carry alone.

Unmanageable doesn’t always look like chaos.
Sometimes it looks like holding it together at a cost.

This week, you don’t need to fix what’s heavy.
You don’t need to analyze it or explain the whole story.
Just begin by noticing it.

What am I carrying right now?

You can’t lay something down if you never acknowledge you’re holding it.
And awareness isn’t weakness — it’s the beginning of freedom.

One day at a time.
One honest pause at a time.

If you’ve felt tired, heavy, or unsure how to put words to what you’re carrying, this night is meant to be a safe place to pause.

Tonight we continue walking through Step 1 — The Power of Weakness, with a focus on naming the weight without feeling pressure to explain everything.

You don’t need answers.
You don’t need the right words.
You don’t need to share more than you’re ready for.

This is simply space — to be honest, to listen, and to grow together at a healthy pace.

This Friday we’ll gather for Week 3 of Step 1 — The Power of Weakness!

This week’s focus is simple but meaningful:
Naming the weight without telling the whole story.

Not everything we carry is ready to be explained.
Some things are still tender.
Some things just need to be acknowledged in a safe place.

This night isn’t about fixing anything.
It’s about creating space to be honest, to listen, and to grow together as a family.

Motivation Monday

“I want to do what is right, but I can’t.” — Romans 7:18

That verse matters because it reminds us that wanting to do better doesn’t mean we have the strength to do it alone. Even Paul named his limits.

As you step into this week, hear this clearly:
You don’t have to carry everything by yourself.

If you’re tired, frustrated, or discouraged, that doesn’t mean you’re failing. It may mean you’ve been carrying more than you were meant to.

This week, you don’t need a perfect plan.
You don’t need to fix everything.
Just pause long enough to name what’s heavy and invite God into it.

One day at a time.
That’s how healing actually happens.

Last night at Vision Recovery, we continued Step 1: The Power of Weakness with a message titled “When Control Stops Working.”

This wasn’t about fixing anything or trying harder.
It was about naming reality.

We talked about how control often begins as a survival tool, but eventually reaches its limit.
How powerlessness isn’t defeat, but the turning point.
And how freedom doesn’t come from fighting reality, but finally acknowledging it.

Scripture reminds us:
“I want to do what is right, but I can’t.” (Romans 7:18)
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)

If you’ve been worn down from carrying things alone, I pray this message meets you where you are.

As today begins, you don’t need a plan for getting better.
You don’t need clarity.
You don’t need strength.

If you’re tired of holding things together — that’s enough honesty for one day.

Tonight, Vision Recovery is simply a place to bring what you’re already carrying.
Nothing to prove. Nothing to perform.

Sometimes the hardest moment isn’t the breaking point -
it’s the moment you realize control just isn’t working anymore.

This Friday at Vision Recovery, we’re continuing Step 1: The Power of Weakness.

Not to fix anything.
Not to rush change.
Just to tell the truth about what we can’t manage on our own.

If you’re tired of holding it together…
If you’ve been strong for a long time…
If you need a space where honesty is allowed -

You’re welcome here!

✨ Motivation Monday

Grace doesn’t wait for you to get stronger.
It meets you right where you’re honest.

Some weeks leave us tired.
Some seasons remind us how little control we actually have.
And Step 1 reminds us of this freeing truth:
you don’t have to be strong to be free.

“My power is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9

If today feels heavy… if you’re worn down… if you’re realizing you can’t carry everything on your own — you’re not failing. You’re standing at the doorway of grace.

This week, don’t strive for strength.
Choose honesty.
That’s where God meets us.
