Last week we continued Step 5: The Power of Confession.

Not just talking about what’s hidden… but what happens when we keep carrying things alone.

This Friday is Process Night!

No pressure. No pretending. Just real conversations with people who are walking through recovery together.

If you’ve been carrying things privately, overwhelmed in your thoughts, or trying to manage everything internally, this night is for you.

Motivation Monday

You don’t have to carry everything by yourself this week.

A lot of us have gotten used to holding things in. We stay busy, distract ourselves, and try to manage things internally because it feels easier than letting people into what’s really going on.

But isolation keeps people stuck.

God never intended for you to walk through healing alone. One of the biggest lies we believe is that asking for help makes us weak, when in reality, staying hidden is what keeps us weighed down.

So as this week starts, let yourself lean into the people God has placed around you. You don’t have to have all the answers, and you don’t have to carry it all on your own.

That’s why we need God.
And that’s why we need each other.

Last night at Vision Recovery, Pastor Scooter Murphy continued Step 5: The Power of Confession through Romans 5:12–21.

We talked about the difference between man’s way and God’s way. Man’s way is to hide, cover things up, isolate, and pretend everything is okay. God’s way is confession—bringing things into the light instead of continuing to carry them in hiding.

We also talked about the difference between guilt and shame. Guilt can point us toward repentance, but shame keeps people trapped in hiding and believing the lie that they are defined by their struggles.

The message closed with a reminder that our identity is not found in performance, approval, or what we do, but in who we are in Christ.

Here’s the message if you weren’t able to be there or want to go back and listen again:

Tonight at Vision Recovery.

Step 5 continues.

A lot of us have gotten good at hiding things, managing things, or carrying things quietly. But what stays hidden doesn’t stay still.

Pastor Scooter Murphy will be continuing “Out of the Dark” tonight at 7PM.

Last week we started Step 5: The Power of Confession.

Not just seeing what’s there… but deciding what to do with it.

This Friday, Pastor Scooter Murphy will be continuing “Out of the Dark” as we keep walking through Step 5 together.

A lot of us know what it’s like to carry things privately while pretending they aren’t affecting us. But eventually, what’s hidden shows up somewhere.

Join us Friday at 7PM.

Motivation Monday

Don’t take it back into hiding.

Last month, God showed some things. Not to overwhelm you, but to make you aware. And once you see something clearly, you can’t pretend it’s not there anymore.

Now the question isn’t what’s there… it’s what you’re going to do with it.

A lot of us get stuck right here. We see it, we recognize it, we even feel conviction about it… but we keep it to ourselves. We carry it, manage it, and try to move forward without ever bringing it into the light.

But what stays hidden doesn’t get healed.

This week doesn’t have to be about saying everything. It doesn’t have to be perfect. But it can be about taking a step.

Don’t go back to carrying it the same way.

Last night at Vision Recovery, we talked about what comes next after God reveals something in your life.

Here’s the message if you weren’t able to be there - or if you want to go back and sit with it again.
https://youtu.be/C-LNt_AmGpk

We’ve already seen it. Now the question is what we’re going to do with it. A lot of us can recognize what’s wrong, think about it, even be honest about it internally, and still keep it hidden. But what stays hidden doesn’t stay still - it shows up, it leaks, and it affects everything.

This message is about taking that next step - coming out of hiding and beginning the process of healing.

If this connects with you, take some time with it this week. And if you can, join us this Friday at 7PM as we continue Step 5.

Tonight we take the next step.

Not starting over—continuing forward.

Step 4 helped us see what’s really there.
Step 5 is about what we do with it.

You don’t have to come in with the right words.
You don’t have to share everything.

But you don’t have to keep carrying everything either.

If you’ve been holding something quietly…
tonight is a good night to take one step out of the dark.

We’ll walk it out together.

Last month we took a real look at our lives.
Not surface level—honest, uncomfortable, necessary.

Step 5 isn’t about finding anything new.
It’s about deciding what to do with what’s already been revealed.

Because seeing it and saying it are not the same thing.

A lot of us can admit things to ourselves…
but still carry them alone.

This Friday we step into The Power of Confession.

Not to put anyone on display.
Not to force anything out.
Just an invitation to stop carrying it by yourself.

Out of the dark.

Motivation Monday

Before you move into a new week, don’t lose what God has been showing you.

This month has been about honesty, and not the surface kind, but the kind that actually slows you down long enough to face what’s really going on inside. For a lot of us, that hasn’t been easy, but it’s been necessary.

Maybe you’ve started to see some things more clearly. Not everything is fixed, but something is different. You’re more aware, more honest, less willing to just say “I’m fine” and keep moving.

Don’t rush past that.

God doesn’t bring things into the light to shame you. He does it so He can start working in them. So as this week starts, stay in that place. Stay honest about what He’s shown you, even if it’s uncomfortable.

You don’t have to have everything figured out, but you do want to stay real.

Because what you’re honest about… God can work through!

Tonight!

Chip Night + Real Stories.

We’re celebrating progress and creating space for people to be honest about what God is doing in their lives right now.

You don’t have to have it all together to show up.
You just have to be willing to take a step.
