Did you know that United/Peoples Health MA plan forbids a DPC doc from referring an MA patient to a specialist? If we do, the patient's insurance denies coverage and the patient has to pay out of pocket.

United HealthCare (PeoplesHealth) Medicare Advantage Plan in Louisiana says I cannot refer a patient, who chooses to have me as their P*P, to a subspecialist. Someone who i have treated for 20 + years
