Primary territory includes travel into AL, KY, IN, NC, SC, VA, GA. Back-up service territory is throughout North America.

I. POSITION SUMMARY
The Technical Support Engineer provides field service throughout the U.S. and Canada.
II. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• A minimum education level of an Associate Degree in Computer Electronics repair or a two-year vocational electronics certificate.
• Military electronics schooling/experience is a plus
• Experience working on large capital medical equipment in a hospital environment
• X-Ray service experience strongly preferred
• 3 to 5 years medical service experience preferred
• Agile and adept Microsoft Windows user with strong working knowledge of connectivity and directory structure.
• Basic familiarity with computer hardware repair at the subassembly level.
• Must be able to interface directly with operating room staff, clinical engineers, and sales managers
• Experience within the KS organization helpful
• Possess exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Must have a valid passport or be able to obtain one
• Must be able to travel up to 80% of the time, both domestically and internationally
• Must be able to frequently lift to 80lbs
• Must be able to work in both a maintenance environment and hospital facility
• Must be able to backup other territories when needed
III. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
A. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties consistent with the general nature and focus of the position and/or the goals and objectives of the department may be assigned.)
• Maintain and service SLX-T, SLX-F2, SLK Lithotripter systems in assigned service territory, some may also include MX X-ray systems (Storz MX Connect and Storz FD21), DUOLITH, D-ACTOR and Magnetolith systems.
• Maintain frequent communication with all customers in assigned territory.
• Works directly with customers, hospital operating room staff, clinical engineers and area sales managers on the sales and implementation of equipment.
• Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution.
• Conducts basic training on product usage and maintenance with customers.
• Maintain all company supplied tools, test equipment, laptops, iPads, iPhones, and ensures calibrations are current.
• Maintains accurate inventory.
• Follows proper workflow management on all relevant procedures such as computer work, paperwork, and documentation submission in a correct and timely manner.
• Updates staff on all patient incidents by phone and email for proper investigation.
