Marge Hatcher marked her 107th birthday surrounded by first responders, family and friends, sharing laughter, wisdom and a reminder to be kind.

Marge Hatcher is 107!!

This incredible woman is celebrating more than a century of love, laughs, and wisdom.

When I asked her what the secret to a long life is, she told me you can’t be too hard on yourself.

“Forgiveness, even for yourself is important.”

She also said life is about how you treat people, no matter who they are.

“Kindness is important. Try to say something nice to people. Even if you don’t like them”

That s***k and honesty is what makes Marge so fun.

Her son says she’s vibrant and has always loved people.

She served with the Red Cross during WWII and met her future husband in the Philippines.

He went on to become a Colonel in the Army and they raised their family all over the country.

But she now calls the Canterfield at Kennesaw home.

She is beloved there.

Program Director Sally Wells says, “She’s like the Queen of Canterfield. Everyone loves her. Her spirit is timeless.”

But turning 107 deserves more than just a cake!

So they pulled out all the stops to celebrate their beloved Queen.

From 107 donuts, to a signed baseball jersey from the Atlanta Braves, Marge was given all the love she so deeply deserves.
