“If you feel like you’re doing all the ‘right’ things… but your life still feels reactive, overwhelming, or exhausting… it might not be your mindset. It might be your nervous system.”

“A dysregulated nervous system doesn’t just affect stress. It affects how you show up in life. How you parent, how you love, how you run your business, how you sleep, how you heal.
When your body is stuck in fight, flight, freeze, or fawn… you make decisions from survival — not from alignment.”

“I know this because I lived it. I thought I needed more discipline, more productivity, more control. What I actually needed was safety in my body.
Somatic work changed everything for me. When my nervous system began to regulate, my clarity improved. My relationships softened. My capacity expanded.”

“This is why I do the work I do. During the intake process, we don’t just talk about stress — we work with the body to release it.
If you’re ready to stop surviving and start living from regulation, I’d love to support you.”

“DM me ‘RESET’ or book one of my Nervous System Reset sessions through the link in my bio.”

One of my lovely friends shared an image today and asked a simple question: "What bone is this?”The shape was striking, with wings spread wide like something caught between anatomy and art. Some people said pelvis. Others said sphenoid. One person laughed that it looked like a Rorschach test, and another joked it’s only the pelvis if someone has their head all the way up their “dot dot dot.” 🤣 I nearly spit out my honey tea. And still, beneath the humor, there was something beautiful in the confusion, because it revealed a truth the body has been quietly keeping all along: these two bones, so far apart in location, share a haunting symmetry.

I love moments like this where anatomy turns into poetry without trying. The pelvic bowl and the sphenoid bone mirror each other as twin wings pressed into different ends of us. One forming the great foundation at the base of the body, the other forming a winged keystone deep behind the eyes. If you didn’t know better, you might think they were siblings drawn by the same hand. One holds the weight of our story against gravity, while the other cradles the tides of the brain and the rhythm of perception. Root and sky. Basin and lantern. Structure and starlight.

In my intraoral and cranial work, we spend time with this relationship because it is not just visually poetic; it is functionally profound. The sphenoid sits at the crossroads of the cranial base, receiving and distributing strain through the cranial bones and the dural membranes.

The pelvis and sacrum answer through the same fascial and dural continuities, like distant dancers still connected by the same piece of music. When one side is torqued, compressed, or held in an old protective pattern, the other often shows the echo. When one begins to unwind, space appears in places that seem, at first glance, unrelated.

I often tell students to think of them as two great gates of the body. The lower gate and the upper gate. When they move in harmony, fluid dynamics improve, our nerve tone settles, our breath deepens, and people feel more like themselves again without always knowing why. We begin a conversation.

So when you look at these shapes as inkblots of bone, you are not just seeing clever symmetry, but you are being given a reminder that the body loves patterns, reflections, and relationships. That balance is rarely local, and healing often happens in pairs. Sometimes the most technical anatomy, when you step back far enough, looks exactly like art. 🥰

Sometimes a client comes in for neck tension…
and what their body is really holding is so much more.

During intake, it became clear the nervous system was overwhelmed.
So we slowed everything down.
Warm tea.
Grounding touch to the feet.
Breath before technique.

The body doesn’t separate physical tension from emotional experience.
Stress, grief, shock, and trauma often live quietly in the tissues—
waiting for safety before they release.

This session wasn’t about “fixing” anything.
It was about regulation.
About creating enough safety for the breath to deepen,
for the diaphragm to soften,
for the body to remember it doesn’t have to brace anymore.

This is what somatic bodywork can offer:
• A calm mind through nervous system support
• Gentle release without forcing
• A space where emotions are allowed to move
• Touch that listens instead of pushes

If your body feels tight, exhausted, or overwhelmed—
even when you “can’t explain why”—
this work may be for you.

Your body is always communicating.
Sometimes it just needs someone who knows how to listen.

Somatic Bodywork: Today’s client came in to experience the Postpartum Restoration session, one of several under our Signature Bodywork sessions. My client gave birth earlier this year via Cesarean and had been struggling with tightness and pain as a result of muscular imbalances that resulted from the unexpected surgery. Her lower abdomen felt tighter on one side, along with adductor pain in the inner thighs, low back pain along the Quadratus lumborum, and outer hip discomfort. Her arms felt tense and tired. Neck and shoulder pain were also present. There was a lot of disconnect and compensation patterns that had settled into the tissue. We used somatic practices to help guide her back to body, along with Craniosacral therapy and Myofascial Release Therapy to help create expansion and space in the fascia. Breathwork helped in that, from the inside out. The use of hot towels and stones soothed particularly tense areas. It’s always an honor to have these types of sessions, to see the transformation take place as clients begin to let out a sigh of relief from all the tension they’ve been carrying.

So after taking the sound bowls to the waters edge, I had a young lady come up to me to ask about the bowls. I gave a brief explanation and introduced myself. She told me about her chakra tattoo and I asked her if she’d ever had a sound bath. After learning that she had not, I offered to gift her one right there on the beach. She really enjoyed it and so did her father. It’s been such an honor to be able to share this with other people in the short time I’ve had the bowls! I love seeing the changes in the faces of people who experience the sound baths, often for the very first time! ✨
