Simple exercises for nervous system regulation (courtesy of Primal Trust). Somatic therapies, like these exercises and acupuncture, communicate messages of safety to the brain through neurotransmitters, allowing your nervous system to return to a parasympathetic (“rest and digest”) state. We need both activated (sympathetic) and restful states, but illness often occurs when the body/mind is not able to come out of what is called the cell-danger response, perceiving threat after it has passed or for too long of a period.
If you notice things like rapid heartbeat, shallow breathing, or a racing mind, these exercises can help.

Hello my dear friends,

Today i want to share with you the importance of focusing on your legs in the winter time.

Strengthening your legs and knees is very beneficial in winter.

This is important because the legs represent vitality and when the legs get cold in the winter it can drain your vitality energy and lead to health problems when spring comes.

These things are especially important for people who have or have had heart problems.

There are many energy channels that run through the knees, including; The liver energy channel, the pancreas energy channel, the stomach energy channel and the bladder energy channel.

The knees and heels have many important energy points and the flow of energy can easily become stagnant and the simplest thing you can do to keep this from happening is to....

👉Keep your Legs warm in the winter. This will help to keep your kidney energy from being depleted in winter. Just by doing that you can help prevent colds and the loss of your vital kidney energy.

👉Standing with your knees bent while doing your Spring Forest Qigong Active Exercises is a good way to strengthen your legs and keep them active. When you do your qigong active exercises bend your knees a little. Bend them as deeply as you feel comfortable doing. Bending your knees can really help to strengthen your knees and legs, strengthen your vitality and your digestive system.

Many Blessings,
Chunyi Lin
