Join us for our residents shopping spree, Thursday June 11th at 2:00pm! Our residents have been working hard earning points through activities, and now they get to cash them in for fun items and treats during their very own shopping day. We are currently looking for:
VOLUNTEERS
Help make the day extra special by assisting residents and pushing wheelchairs while they shop and enjoy the event.
Snack and drink donations:
We would greatly appreciate donations of snacks, drinks or items you think our residents would enjoy. Every donation helps make the shopping experience more exciting and rewarding.
Your time, kindness, and generosity mean so much to our residents and staff. As many of you know, this event takes place twice a year and our residents love it! They look forward to it. With everyone’s help it runs smooth. Thank you for helping us create a fun, memorable afternoon for everyone involved!
If you would like to volunteer or donate, please contact Brandy, Life Enrichment Director or be here Thursday, June 11th by 1:30pm! 🥰

🌟 May is Wellness Month! 🌟
This month, we are proud to celebrate several important wellness observances that remind us how valuable health, happiness, and self-care are for everyone — residents, families, and staff alike!

💙 National Senior Health & Fitness Day
Encouraging our seniors to stay active, engaged, and healthy through movement, social activities, and wellness programs.

💪 Employee Health & Fitness Month
A special thank you to our dedicated team members who work hard every day to care for others while also prioritizing their own health and well-being.

👨‍👩‍👧 Family Wellness Month
Strong families create strong communities! We encourage families to spend quality time together and support one another’s physical and emotional wellness.

😴 Better Sleep Month
Good sleep is essential for overall health. This month we’re promoting healthy sleep habits to help improve mood, energy, and quality of life.

Together, let’s continue building a healthier, happier community for all!

We are looking forward to having Jessica Ferguson, owner of Coreworx, tomorrow at 2:00pm and having an exercise class for our resident’s! We are so thankful to her for offering to do this for us and are looking forward to it!

Today VNA Hospice brought potting soil, a starter flower pot, and a variety of things to decorate them. Our residents really enjoyed this. They planted one bulb down deep and seeds on top. It will take 2-3 weeks before we see sprouts 🌱 so they’re sitting on our window sills and we’re crossing our fingers! 🤞
C’mon flowers! 💐 🌺 🌹
Thank you VNA Hospice for always bringing an interesting craft every month for us to do!
We enjoyed National Blueberry Cheesecake Day afterwards. Fun fact: May is National Photography Month and National Inventors’ Month.

Today was our cowboy theme day! We enjoyed cowboy caviar as a snack and watched the movie High Noon. Tomorrow we will watch Unbroken. We enjoyed playing horseshoes this morning, on the memory care unit as well.
Memorial Day is this Monday as we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
May is also National Military Appreciation Month — a time to recognize and thank all who have served and continue to serve in our Armed Forces. Their courage, dedication, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
Please take a moment this weekend to reflect, remember, and show appreciation to our military heroes and their families. ❤️🤍💙
