Today we had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration with our residents. Thank you Elara Caring for bringing Lambert’s rolls (residents chose not to have them thrown to them 🤣) and helping serve everyone today! We also had sliders with turkey, Swiss cheese, cranberry sauce and stuffing on it, green beans, mandarin/ pineapple jello salad, and either pumpkin or pecan pie. We enjoyed Thanksgiving and Macy Day Parade trivia afterwards. While we ate , we reminisced while watching A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.
Today is the Great American Smokeout, a powerful reminder that every quit journey starts with a single step. November is also Lung Cancer Awareness Month, and together these observances highlight just how important lung health is. Whether you’re quitting, supporting someone who’s trying, or honoring those affected by lung cancer, today is about hope, strength, and second chances. You’re not alone—and every effort matters!

November is Long-Term Care Awareness Month, a time to honor the residents who call our community home and the dedicated caregivers who support them each day.
At NHC, we believe long-term care is more than a service—it’s a relationship built on compassion, dignity, and respect.
This month, we reaffirm our commitment to providing personalized care that helps every resident feel safe, valued, and truly at home.
November is also National Family Caregivers Month, and we extend our deepest gratitude to the family members who provide love, support, and care day after day.
