Kennett OAKS Nutrition Center OAKS (Older Adults Keep Serving) Mission: To provide nutritious meals, beneficial supportive services and social interaction.

The OAKS Senior Nutrition Center provides a list of activities, such as BINGO on Monday and Wednesdays, as well as some great dancing to live music on Thursdays. The seniors center is under the umbrella of Aging Matters that provides and coordinates the following services for seniors: Advocacy, Counseling, Distance Dining Program, Family Caregiver Program, Health & Wellness Programs, Information & Referral, In-Home Services, Legal Services, Long term Care, Ombudsman Program, Outreach, and much more.

FCC Behavioral Health’s annual golf fundraiser drew over 90 participants and dozens of sponsors, raising vital funds for the OAKS Nutrition Center after it lost federal support for senior meal services. Full article available in the Tuesday print edition of the DDD.
