Kennett OAKS Nutrition Center OAKS (Older Adults Keep Serving) Mission: To provide nutritious meals, beneficial supportive services and social interaction.

The OAKS Senior Nutrition Center provides a list of activities, such as BINGO on Monday and Wednesdays, as well as some great dancing to live music on Thursdays. The seniors center is under the umbrella of Aging Matters that provides and coordinates the following services for seniors: Advocacy, Counseling, Distance Dining Program, Family Caregiver Program, Health & Wellness Programs, Information & Referral, In-Home Services, Legal Services, Long term Care, Ombudsman Program, Outreach, and much more.

The amazing Adelphians are generously hosting a Benefit SINGO event at the OAKS—and we couldn’t be more excited!

Kennett OAKS Nutrition Center has been named Kennett Chamber of Commerce’s Member of the Month for March. This month is National Nutrition Month, and we are recognizing the hard work of the OAKS staff in providing nutritious meals, other resources and a space to socialize for seniors in Kennett.

Check out the OAKS' website for information on services and resources available to area seniors, and keep an eye on their page for upcoming fundraisers which will assist the OAKS staff in continuing their mission. The OAKS will be hosting a yard sale fundraiser on Saturday, May 2nd. They are now accepting clean, gently used items for the sale at 100 East Harrison Street in Kennett. Donations can be dropped off Mondays by appointment, and Tuesday-Friday 8:00am - 3:00 pm.
