Area senior living facilities have been checked with and unfortunately, no results. No family has come forward either. An inquiry has been placed with Adult Protective Services.

Ms. Rubio is in good spirits, is being tended to medically & currently enjoying a nice sandwich and jello! 🥪

We appreciate the tips, which have been done! We are also super appreciatative of the shares! Thank you!

We’re hopeful we can get her home soon!

Officers were dispatched to 425 S Olympia St, for a Welfare Check.

We were advised the lovely lady pictured below was wandering the area. She identified herself as “Marisa Rubio”, but it was apparent she suffers from memory issues, as she wasn’t too sure. She was unable to tell us where she lived, who she lived with, or if any family lived in the area. She was very frightened and told us she’d been walking, but didn’t know where.

She’s estimated to be in her late 70’s-80’s, white hair, and wearing a light pink gown.

Given the heat and circumstances, we have transported her to Trios Hospital for medical evaluation.

All applicants must have, at a minimum, the following certifications:
HCA/CNA, First Aid/CPR, Mental Health, Dementia, Nurse Delegation, Diabetes Delegation, and food handlers card.

Our residents couldn't get enough of these!

Oatmeal Molasses Cookies

Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 large egg
1/3 cup dark unsulphured molasses
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon powdered ginger

Instructions
1.Whisk the melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, and molasses together in a large mixing bowl.
2. Add the dry ingredients and stir, then combine with the liquid ingredients.
3. Chill the dough for about 20 minutes in the refrigerator. This is optional, but so worth it for the best cookie texture!
4. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. and prepare a baking sheet.
5. After the cookie dough chills, use a cookie dough scoop or spoon to scoop the dough into balls and place on the baking sheet.
6. Bake each batch for 12-13 minutes.
Let cool or enjoy warm!

This Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives for our freedom. We also recognize our elders, many of whom lived through times of war and carry the memories of those who served. Their stories remind us why we remember.
