This one is for my runners out there! 🏃🏻♀️Oh, and my soccer players, weight lifters, softball players, cyclists, gymnasts, baseball players, basketball players, and softball players - and the list goes on, but you get the point.
If you’ve had Runner’s Knee, or patellofemoral pain, before then you know how frustrating it can be.
😬It derails training plans
😬Makes it difficult to perform at your best
😬And sometimes, it comes and goes
And it’s characterized by pain:
😬In the front of the knee/around the kneecap
😬Is dull and achy
😬That increases with knee bending or sitting
😬Present in the knee during or after activity
😬Especially during running, jumping, squatting, kicking
But lucky for you, Runner’s Knee isn’t something you have to “just deal with” and push through.
As a sports PT, I see this injury all the time in the clinic and have helped a lot of athletes get back to 100%.
I help my athletes heal from Runner’s Knee by:
✅Addressing muscle imbalances
✅Improving mobility of the knee joints
✅Teaching proper movement patterns
✅Restructuring recovery routines
✅Creating a treatment plan specific to your sport
