Job Description
NP/PA - Sleep Medicine
As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team including physicians, other advanced practice practitioners, and a respiratory therapist, to provide comprehensive care to patients in the area of sleep disorders.

Take care of patients of all ages with acute and chronic illnesses, specifically in sleep related disorders in an outpatient population.

Provide individual and group behavioral therapies for sleep disorders, and follow-up visits of sleep apnea patients treated with PAP therapies.

Education:
Minimum –

If Nurse Practitioner:
Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program.

If Physician Assistant:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program.

Work Experience:
Preferred - Three years of relevant clinical experience in primary care, pulmonary, cardiology, neurology, ENT, ED or psychiatry preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum –

If Nurse Practitioner:
Active RN and APNP license in State of Washington.

If Physician Assistant:
Active PA license in State of Washington AND active PA board certification.

All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have:

Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire. CPR certification and advanced life support certifications if relevant to practice area (ACLS, PALS, NRP).

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Professional demeanor.

Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

Ability to prioritize tasks.

Physical Requirements:
Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.

Work Schedule:
100% FTE, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. No on call, no weekends. Some evening possible for outreach.
