We had one of those moments recently… the kind where everything just clicks.
For a long time, Sparkle Initiative has been doing the work—showing up for youth, supporting families, building community, mentoring students. We’ve been in it, living it, growing it.
But we hadn’t quite put words to what it really is.
Now we can.
Sparkle Initiative is a pipeline for social workers.
That’s what it’s been since day one.
We create space for students to learn, to lead, to serve.
We give real-world experience, not just theory.
We walk alongside future social workers as they find their voice, their purpose, and their place in this community.
The youth programs, the outreach, the events, the radio, the mentorship—none of that changes. That’s still the heart.
But now we understand something deeper:
We’re not just helping people today…
We’re building the people who will help tomorrow.
And in a rural community like ours, that matters.
This was our “aha” moment.
Not a change in direction—just clarity in identity.
Sparkle has always been about lifting others up.
Now we know—we’re also building the pipeline that keeps that work alive for generations.
