I’m absolutely delighted by Landscapes of the Soul! As a couple and trauma therapist, I see human behavior through the lens of attachment patterns, and as a Christian, I’ve often contemplated the role that attachment plays in how we perceive and relate to God.
In Landscapes of the Soul: How the Science
and Spirituality of Attachment Can Move
You into Confident Faith, Courage,
and Connection, Cid and Geoff Holsclaw give us an elegant and creative framework for attachment theory and a beautiful guide for bonding with God.
This book is for you if you want to better understand your own or others’ default patterns of behavior, which you may or may not realize are rooted in attachment. It will bring much compassion and insight. It will also bring you hope that none of us needs to be stuck in patterns that are painful, conflicted or that leave us isolated.
It’s also for those who are curious about connecting with God - why it can be difficult; why it looks and feels so different - even opposite - for different people and spiritual communities.
Landscapes of the Soul needs to be in the library of anyone who helps others with personal growth, interpersonal relationships or spiritual formation. (Pastors, ministry leaders, therapists, spiritual directors.) This one is a game changer! It will bring you joy!
