Fraud Friday Reminder!
Scammers are getting bolder and emails pretending to be from PayPal are making the rounds again. These messages claim you owe money, need to log in immediately, or that your account is in trouble. Their goal? To scare you into clicking a link or calling a number that doesn’t belong to PayPal.
👉 Protect yourself:
✔️ Always check the sender’s email address. Scammers often use addresses that look close to the real thing, but aren’t quite right.
✔️ Never click links or call phone numbers in suspicious emails.
✔️ If something feels off, contact the company directly using the customer service number listed on their official website.
Trust your instincts. When in doubt, back out. Stay safe, Kenosha!

Overdose Spike Alert: Wednesday, December 3, 2025

Over the past two (2) days, there has been an increase in drug overdoses. This is *above* the normal rate and indicates there may be very strong opioids or other drugs mixed in the local drug supply.

What You Can Do:

Please alert anyone you know who uses drugs to follow these safer use guidelines:
• Do not use alone or call the Never Use Alone Hotline: 1-800-484-3731
• Have NARCAN® nearby
• Use fentanyl test strips

(1) If you think someone is overdosing, call or text 911.

(2) If they are unresponsive, have slow or stopped breathing, are snoring or gurgling, feel cold or clammy or have discolored lips or fingertips, administer NARCAN. Wait two to three minutes before administering a second dose.

(3) If there is no pulse and they are not breathing, give a rescue breath and begin chest compressions.

(4) If they are breathing normally but still unconscious, place them on their side in the recovery position and wait with them until EMS arrives.
• Roll the unconscious person onto their side
• Use their hand to support the head
• Position knee at a right angle to keep them from rolling onto back or stomach

Resources:

• Hope Kits/Leave Behind Kits are available from local first responders. If your agency needs additional kits, contact Rock County Public Health: (608) 757-5440. Additional resources are on our website.

It’s Monday, December 1st, and as we step into the season of gratitude and connection, we are honored to share that The Sharing Center has once again been chosen as the beneficiary of the 2025 KABA Holiday Social.

The Kenosha Area Business Alliance (KABA) brings together local leaders, businesses, and community members for an evening filled with good company, warm conversation, and the spirit of giving. This event is a reminder of what makes our community special — people coming together to support one another.

Wednesday, December 3, 2025
5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Upper East | 622 58th St, Kenosha, WI 53140
$25 per person

A portion of the proceeds from this event directly supports the work we do every day for Western Kenosha County residents. From nutrition and food security programs to emergency shelter, rent and utility assistance, employment resources, and ongoing advocacy, these funds help us meet families where they are and walk alongside them toward stability and hope.

We are deeply grateful to KABA and to every person who chooses to show up, contribute, and care. Your presence truly makes a difference.

We hope you can join us. Please register by Friday, November 28 using the link below.

Together, we continue to strengthen the foundation of our community.
