Happy Students' Day!
We have a very special Monday Smiles post today, featuring smiles from some of our many employees who are also students. We're honored to participate in both the Kenosha and Racine Unified Youth Apprentice programs, introducing students to the field of healthcare. We also have several employees who are currently college students. We're proud to employ so many students and know they're all going to go on to make a positive impact in the community and the world.

It was a very special day at the Legacy!
We celebrated 40 years of employment for our Maintenance Director, Phyllis. But anyone who knows Phyllis knows that she's so much more than the Maintenance Director. She's also our holiday decorator, central supply magician, random problem solver, cable TV guru, and most importantly, friend to all our residents.
Today was also the 32-year anniversary for our Activity Assistant, Teresa, aka, the Queen of Fun! She makes sure there's always something to do at the Legacy and chases the boredom away!
Please join us in congratulating them both on a combined 72 years of dedication to our residents.

On this Veterans Day we would like to say thank you to all who have served. We are grateful for your service and sacrifice.
And thank you to Hospice Alliance & Hospice Alliance Foundation for helping us honor the veterans in our facility. with a special program.

We started Halloween week off on Sunday with a Spooktacular piano recital from the students at . We enjoyed the fun costumes and beautiful music performed by students of all ages. They all did so well! Thank you to all of the students and Ms. Garin for spending their Sunday entertaining us!

According to Facebook, it's National Cat Day. That's OK - we'll let the cats have one day - but every day is dog day at the Legacy! Our sweet little Ambrosia (aka Ambie) is settling in so well, spreading smiles everywhere she goes.
