Day two of substituting for Dr Kalinka: I got to work in the Kenosha office (Roosevelt road near 38th Ave). Nice location, nice office. It was a shorter day, but I had some great patient interactions.

A lovely husband-wife couple came in for exams and the husband didn’t speak much English. Without them asking for it - I was able to quickly get a Hindi interpreter on speaker phone so that I could answer all of the husband’s questions - and share the eye health details in his native language.

This is a service that I don’t charge extra for, and it can make a true difference in someone’s life. I can provide this service for just about any language if you let me know while scheduling the exam.

Day 1 of filling in for Dr. Kalinka at his Paddock Lake clinic went pretty well. I started the day off by shoveling my driveway for 2 hours so I could get the van down the driveway. And they didn’t have hardly any snow west of Strawberry fields.

It looks like I may continue to fill in for Tuesday at the Kenosha Salem Vision Center, Wednesday back in Paddock Lake, *maybe* Thursday morning in Kenosha, then Friday and Sat back in Paddock Lake.

I'm going to be filling in for Dr. Kalinka at both his Paddock Lake and Kenosha "Salem Vision Center" offices this week (and possibly next week). More details to come!

Happy Ribbon Cutting Day for my clinic! I'm very happy for the supporters that were able to come in person, and for the many many more supporters that weren't able to make it. There will be some pictures/video to come!

Join us for the official ribbon cutting of Enlightened Eye Care Thursday November 6th at Noon. The Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting, and the event is open to anyone who wants to stop by and check out the clinic.

Mayor Bogdala’s office has the event on his schedule, so we’re hoping he’s able to join us as well.

And yes—there will be a fun thank-you treat for guests. Hint: it has something to do with my gummy bear Croc shoes. Come say hello, take a look around, and grab some goodies!

Long day, but worth it! I stopped by 16 optometry clinics around Kenosha to personally invite their doctors to my open house this weekend. My clinic can complement theirs by offering advanced diagnostic testing to their patients in a timely manner. And, their patients will always return to them for routine care and glasses!

This is a great new coffee shop in downtown Kenosha (just south of the train station, next to the police station). Great decor, beautiful design, delicious coffee, and very friendly owners. They are worth giving a try!
