My mom and dad were very friendly. They enjoyed gardening and visiting with people. They had big hearts and always made people feel welcome. When it became difficult for them to enjoy the independence they so loved, it was time to find someone who could assist them. We hired an in-home care agency to help with basic tasks so they could continue to enjoy independence in their home. My dad complained of the caregivers being late and taking money and other personal items from their home. Thinking dad might be the problem, we tried other workers, and it was not much better. They eventually went into an assisted living facility where items were still disappearing, and the staff provided little time to take care of their cleaning and personal needs. Mom passed and I finally moved dad close to me. I found a wonderful staff to take care of him-he really enjoyed the help caregivers offered. He wanted and needed dependable people, and they made his time in his home very enjoyable. This is why I founded Todd's In Home Care. It's more than just a business, it's personal.
