Growing bodies need steady fuel. 🍎🥪

School-age children need balanced nutrition to support learning, physical activity, and healthy growth. Whole grains, fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy fats help provide the energy they need throughout the day.

Small habits at home can build a strong foundation for lifelong wellness.

❤️ American Heart Month at Pillar Health! ❤️

February was a busy and heart‑healthy month for our team at Pillar Health! We took the opportunity to spotlight Healthy Heart Habits with both patients and staff.

To make things fun, we created a Heart Health Word Search filled with reminders and tips for keeping our hearts strong. Team members were invited to complete the puzzle, snap a selfie wearing red, and send it in for a chance to win a prize.

🎉 Congratulations to our winner, Raylene from our Patient Access team! 🎉
She completed the puzzle with style—here she is in all her glory with her winning entry!

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make American Heart Month a success. Let’s keep those healthy heart habits going strong all year long! ❤️💪

🍽️ During National Nutrition Month, here’s a simple reminder: you don’t have to stop going out to eat, just be mindful of portions. Restaurant meals are often higher in fat and calories, so consider enjoying part of your meal now and taking the rest home for later.

Small choices can make a big difference in supporting a healthy lifestyle.

During the infant and toddler years, nutrition supports rapid brain development and sets the stage for lifelong health. Foods rich in healthy fats, iron, and protein help fuel growth and learning.

Early detection matters. 💗 Rebecca Rodriguez, Nurse Practitioner at our 22nd Avenue clinic and a nurse for more than 20 years, reminds women about the importance of regular mammogram screenings. Following best practice guidelines, mammograms are recommended every two years for women ages 40–74.

🦷✨ It’s Dental Assistant Appreciation Week, and we are celebrating the incredible professionals who help keep our communities smiling.

Dental assistants are the steady hands, calming voices, and behind-the-scenes experts who make every appointment smoother and more comfortable. They support patients, assist providers, ensure safety, and bring compassion to every interaction.

At Pillar Health and KCHC, we are grateful for the dedication, skill, and heart our dental assistants bring to our clinics every day. Their work truly makes a difference in the health and confidence of the families we serve.

Join us in thanking these superheroes behind the smiles this week. 💙
