We are committed to raising awareness and offering accessible lead testing and support for families in our community. Together, we can help ensure every child has a bright, healthy, lead-free future.

Members of our team spent time at the Head Start Chavez Learning Station providing free lead testing for local youth. Lead exposure is a serious risk for children under six, affecting brain development, behavior, and long-term health. There is no safe level of lead in children, and exposure can come from common sources such as old paint, soil, dust, toys, or even drinking water in older homes. Keeping children safe and healthy is at the heart of our mission, and early lead screening is one of the most important steps parents can take.

💊 Got Refills? Don’t Wait — Ask During Your Visit!

The holiday season is one of the busiest times of the year, and it’s easy to let medication refills slip through the cracks. Avoid last-minute stress by asking for prescription refills while you’re already at your appointment!

This simple step saves time, helps your provider review your chart, and ensures you don’t run out of the medications you need. If you do need a refill after your visit, allow 5–7 business days for processing — pharmacy and insurance approvals can add extra time.

Pro tip: Bring your medication bottles or a list of prescriptions to every visit. It helps keep your records up to date and your refills on track through the holidays and beyond.
