📚✨ Back-to-School Joy at Julian Thomas Elementary! ✨📚

On Thursday, August 28, the Pillar Health Racine Clinic proudly joined the Back-to-School Open House at Julian Thomas Elementary School. The energy was electric as children and families met their teachers, dropped off supplies, and explored exciting after-school activities like Girl Scouts.

Our Pillar Health team was thrilled to connect with families and share the benefits of our new school-based services program. One young student even ran up and hugged one of our providers — a heartwarming reminder of why we do what we do. 💙

As one staff member said, “This is the rewarding part of the job – being out in the community.”

Here’s to a healthy, happy school year ahead! 🏫🌟

On Thursday, 8/21, Pillar Health participated in the annual Kenosha County Back to School Health Fair at Brass Community School. Hundreds of children and their families attended in anticipation of a happy and healthy new school year. This event provided a valuable opportunity to connect with current patients and share our story with potential new patients.

On July 24–25, 2025, our Project Manager for Advocacy and Community Relations attended the Wisconsin Primary Health Care Association Communication and Advocacy PLN in Eau Claire, WI.

The event featured a compelling dialogue with Wisconsin State Representative Jodi Emerson, who underscored the critical importance of affordable housing, stating: “If you don’t have it, nothing else matters.” She also highlighted the power of storytelling in advocacy, reminding attendees that while data can be debated, personal stories resonate most deeply.

Participants also took part in an engaging session with Jonah Justice, whose work focuses on building community and capacity to address the root causes of poverty and injustice.

The gathering offered valuable insights and strategies for strengthening trust and credibility in today’s complex political landscape.
