Book a free consultation to see if this might be good--or strongly suggest it to your friend,, colleague, or loved one who needs to let go of some stuff... https://katiegrantcounseling.janeapp.com/

I am looking to interview some folx for an article I'm writing.

I want to talk to q***r or trans professionals who are facing a hard life choice due to discovering someone important to them are on "the wrong side" politically. This might be at work, socially, with family members. The interview will be done via telephone or, if we can swing it, in person. Shoot me an email if you or someone you know would be a good person to interview for 20-60 minutes. katiegrant@katiegrantcounseling.com

Deep brain reorienting is showing promising results by targeting the brain's initial shock response, helping patients heal from trauma more deeply and effectively.

I have level 2 training if you are interested in trying Deep Brain Reorienting therapy. A little info here

Now, more than ever, our LGBT+ community must stand together. Across the Quad Cities, we are fortunate to have a strong network of organizations, affirming churches, and spaces dedicated to support, advocacy, and belonging. But as we continue our work, we must ask ourselves—are we truly creating a united front, or are we allowing ego and division to weaken the very community we seek to uplift?

When organizations, leaders, and affirming spaces compete rather than collaborate, we risk alienating those we are here to support. Divisiveness, whether intentional or not, sends a message that our community is fractured. The reality is, we are all striving toward the same goal: a safer, stronger, and more affirming world for LGBTQ+ individuals. But that goal cannot be fully realized if leadership is driven by personal agendas rather than collective progress.

The strength of our movement has always been in our unity. History has shown us that we are at our best when we uplift one another, amplify each other’s efforts, and recognize that no single person, organization, or space holds the monopoly on support and affirmation. True leadership is not about control—it’s about collaboration.

Now is the time to put aside differences, work across organizations, and ensure that every LGBTQ+ person in the Quad Cities feels seen, supported, and valued. We must be intentional about creating bridges, not walls, because our community is stronger together.

Let’s lead with purpose. Let’s lead with unity. Let’s lead with love. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
