We’d love your support in promoting Rainbow Weekend — a celebration of LGBTQ+ pride, community, and resilience here in Kent.

We're working extra hard to promote this year’s events because Kent State University is no longer permitted to promote LGBTQ+ content, which is deeply frustrating and disheartening. That’s why your voice and visibility matter more than ever.

Kent Pride and Main Street Kent are still here — supporting LGBTQ+ students, uplifting local q***r businesses, and creating safe, affirming spaces. We’re also building a new grant/funding source for LGBTQ+ students to help replace resources that have recently been lost.

Our main events are:

🌈 Pride Bar Crawl – A night of visibility and celebration across local bars

🛍️ Q***r & Here Market – A daytime outdoor market highlighting LGBTQ+ vendors

Conscious Kent: A Mindful Living Fair — is a free, family-friendly community event focused on holistic health, sustainability, and mindful living.

🗓 Date: Saturday, August 30th
🕛 Time: 12–5 PM
📍 Location: 2108 OH-59, Kent (Zenning)
✨ Featuring: 25+ local vendors, free movement classes, live music, wellness experiences, and more!

This event is a collaboration between two small, local wellness businesses, One Love Yoga at the Silk Mill and Zenning, and our mission is to offer an intentional, inclusive experience that uplifts our community and educates citizens on the amazing local health and wellness businesses right here in Kent!

-Free outdoor yoga, meditation, and sound bath experiences by the river
-Free indoor classes on tai chi, reiki, and more
-A curated marketplace of local vendors offering eco-conscious goods and services
-Live music
-Family-friendly and accessible to all

Come to Standing Rock Cultural Arts for a bit of post-election and pre-holidays self care! I will facilitate a therapeutic mandala painting workshop. Other activities include yoga, tai chi, massage, poetry, and more. Friday 11/22/24 @ 6:00 - 9:30pm ❤️
