🛑 Why is Optomap Required at your eye exam?
At Kent Eye Clinic, our priority is delivering the highest standard of care through the most advanced diagnostic technology available. That's why Optomap Ultra-widefield retinal imaging is a required part of all comprehensive eye exams at our clinic.
‼️ Why it's important:
Optomap allows for early detection of potentially sight-threatening and systemic conditions, including:
- Retinal tears or detachments
- Glaucoma
- Macular degeneration
- Diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy
- Other retinal or vascular abnormalities.
Early detection is key to protecting your vision and overall health. Optomap images also provide a baseline for future comparison, helping us track subtle changes over time.
What to Expect:
⚡️its fast, painless, and usually doesn't require dilation.
👁 It captures a detailed, panoramic view of your retina.
🔎 detects early signs of eye disease and other health issues.
📊 Creates a permanent image for year-to-year comparisons.
Because of its proven clinical value, we have made Optomap a mandatory part of all comprehensive eye exams. It allows us to provide safer, more accurate, and more proactive care and ultimately supports better outcomes for our patients. A fee of $39 (per patient) will be collected at check out. Most insurance companies do not cover this charge.
