FamilyCare of Kent

FamilyCare of Kent FamilyCare of Kent: You’ve never experienced family healthcare like this. You’ve never experienced family healthcare like this. Relaxed. Unhurried.

We go out of our way to cater to families, especially brand-new parents and families with young children who have lots of questions about how to raise healthy, happy kids. It’s healthcare the way you’ve always wanted it to be. Respectful of your time and personal needs. Shawna Olson Smith MSN, ARNP, Faith Sairez DNP, ARNP, Kristin Burns, MSN, ARNP, and Coreen (Cory) Klein, DNP, ARNP are board-certified family nurse practitioners at FamilyCare of Kent, Washington. This means they can help your family with most of the health concerns for which you might see a medical doctor. The difference is that nurse practitioners often spend more time with patients and treat more cost-effectively. In fact, our nurse practitioners spend more time with their patients. They believe the more they learn about you, the better able they are to treat you. They perform thorough health exams and evaluate lifestyle concerns, social and work issues, nutrition and exercise habits, and other personal needs. They administer immunizations and prescribe medications, as well. When you want quality healthcare in a comforting family environment, make an appointment with FamilyCare of Kent. Like so many patients before you, you’ll discover that they are a critically important part of your family’s overall healthcare. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call FamilyCare of Kent, Washington at 253.859.CARE (2273) or use our online appointment request form.

You’ve most probably heard the advice to drink eight glasses of water per day. While it’s easy to remember and it’s a reasonable goal, there's actually little scientific evidence to support this claim. Water needs vary by person, and you should let thirst guide your intake. https://mayocl.in/43SgEqU

Traveling overseas this spring? Vaccines are an important topic to cover with your healthcare provider before you go. Make an effort to compile a list of vaccines that you have had and the dates on which you received them. Mandatory vaccines vary from country to country, and knowing which ones you’ve already received can determine which additional shots you need prior to travel.

At FamilyCare of Kent, we offer country- and region-specific advice and preparation, including vaccinations and medications to prevent health problems during your trip. To schedule a travel consultation with us, call our office at (253) 859-2273 (CARE). https://bit.ly/3X6Qc9t
