The Mental Health & Recovery Board of Portage County funds services for Portage County residents through its network of agencies. Services help families, adults, teens and children with mental illness, depression, addictions, in crisis and at risk for su***de. The system is funded by Portage County taxpayers, along with grants and funds from the State of Ohio. Adults and families receiving services pay what they can afford, making services accessible to as many as possible. We welcome you and your comments to the Mental Health & Recovery Board of Portage County pages. The purpose of this site is to educate and present matters of public interest. We encourage you to submit your questions, comments, and concerns, but please note this is a moderated online discussion site and not a public forum. During his State of the State address, Governor Mike DeWine touted as a major accomplishment a decrease in the number of accidental overdose deaths in Ohio.

The Southeast High School boys basketball team’s coaching staff all wore patches on the back of their cage jackets Friday night in remembrance and honor of Benjamin C. Dillon, who was a gun team leader in the 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment at Fort Banning, Ga.
