The Mental Health & Recovery Board of Portage County funds services for Portage County residents through its network of agencies. Services help families, adults, teens and children with mental illness, depression, addictions, in crisis and at risk for su***de. The system is funded by Portage County taxpayers, along with grants and funds from the State of Ohio. Adults and families receiving services pay what they can afford, making services accessible to as many as possible. We welcome you and your comments to the Mental Health & Recovery Board of Portage County pages. The purpose of this site is to educate and present matters of public interest. Looks like we're in for another weekend of cold and snow. Don't let it get you down! Think of this as an opportunty to take care of your mental health: relax and watch a movie, make a big batch of warm soup or pasta, take a social media break and catch up with an old friend or family member over the phone. You can also still do some light exercising by moving your body for 10 minutes by walking in place and stretching around your living. Small things like this can make a big difference! Mental health matters!
