The Public Health Student Alliance is the official student organization of the Kent State University College of Public Health.

Mother's Day fun fact: Mother’s Day began as a call to action to improve the lives of families.

Ann Jarvis founded Mother’s Day in 1868 to reunite families after the civil war and fought to improve public health. Julia Ward Howe used Mother’s Day as a call to be anti-war.

PHSA just wanted to take the time to wish all the Mothers a very Happy Mother's Day and let each of you know how important you are to Public Health and its initiatives ❤

"Bystander Intervention with a Twist"

ESG- Rho Chapter Presents in collaboration with the Problem Gambling Network of Ohio.

When: Thursday, April 22nd at 1:30pm.

Components of the program include warning signs of substance use disorders, problem gambling, mental health issues and sexual violence; obstacles to intervene, strategies on how to effectively intervene at varying comfort levels; video clips and skill building activities.

A few things to know...
The session starts at 1:30pm, please plan to arrive on time to be sure you don't miss anything.
You will be admitted into Zoom by the organizers upon your arrival.
