HAPPENING TODAY!

Tuesday, December 9th
5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Studio Theatre (PA 32).

Please prepare a 1-minute memorized contemporary monologue. Sign up for an audition by contacting Kim at kfoulger@marin.edu.

First show: Dream Hou$e by Eliana Pipes. Summary: Two Latina sisters are appearing on an HGTV-style reality show to sell their "changing neighborhood." As they perform for the camera, the show starts to slip into surreal: one sister grapples with the turmoil in the family's ancestral past and the other learns how much she's willing to sacrifice for the family's future.

Dream Hou$e begins rehearsals on January 20, 2026. Rehearsals are 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., MTWRF. Performances are February 27, 2026 - March 15, 2026.

Second show: Men on Boats by Jaclyn Backhaus. The setting is on boats in 1869. Traversing the Green & Colorado Rivers from Wyoming to a Big Canyon on the government's first Sanctioned Expedition. Note on casting from the playwright: "The characters in MEN ON BOATS were historically cisgender white males. The cast should be made of entirely of people who are not."

Men on Boats begins rehearsals on March 23, 2026. Rehearsals are 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m., MTWRF. Performances are May 1, 2026 - May 17, 2026.

Please contact Kim at kfoulger@marin.edu to learn more about the shows and to sign up to be part of the auditions!

As we take time to rest and recharge, we pause to honor the Indigenous peoples whose lands we live and learn on. This season is an opportunity to reflect with gratitude for the land, for one another, and for the chance to learn and grow together.

Wishing our Mariners a restorative break filled with reflection, connection, and appreciation!
