A deeper peel like the Therapon Jessner/TCA Frost Peel does require some preconditioning with a skin brightener such as 2% -4% hydroquinone or Arbutin/Kojic acid and topical vitamin A such as a Retinol or prescription Retin-A. This will assure safety and efficacy of the treatment, plus minimize any chance of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. The downtime with this peel is 5-7 days.
