This text was sent to me from a mother who lost her son this past year.
We walk through some dark days with friends and strangers.

It's a privilege we don't take lightly.
Thank you for trusting us with your loved one and with your needs and emotions.

This is a hard date for many, please know you are in our thoughts and prayers this holiday season.

Have you ever encountered a funeral procession while driving and were unsure what to do? Though laws vary from state to state, you should always pull over for a funeral procession out of politeness for the grieving family.
Some other general rules to keep in mind out of respect for the family are:
- Do not cut into a procession or cut them off
- Do not honk at vehicles in procession
- Yield the right of way until the entire procession is through the intersection
Please be patient and considerate as we guide our families safely, and keep in mind the people in the procession are going through a difficult time.
The Stout-Crates Family thanks you!

Did you know?
At the first funeral service for Martin Luther King, Jr., King eulogized himself. A recording of his last sermon at Ebenezer Baptist Church, his famous 'Drum Major' sermon, was played at the funeral. In that sermon he makes a request that at his funeral no mention of his awards and honors be made, but that it be said that he tried to 'feed the hungry, clothe the naked, be right on the [Vietnam] war question, and love and serve humanity.'
Today we remember a remarkable man responsible for many achievements towards the betterment of man-kind.
