I bet you haven’t seen a funeral director in a suit and tie being chased by a police officer… Until now! While we don’t usually advise running from the law, Friday night’s “Outrun a Cop” charity fundraiser was an absolute blast during the football game halftime. Wreaths Across America 2025

It is not too early to stop at our office at 917 Blondeau Street, Keokuk, IA, Monday-Friday from 8AM-4PM to place your 2025 wreath order for Wreaths Across America. Orders will be taken thru Wednesday, November 26, 2025.

The Wreaths Across America Remembrance Ceremony to both honor and remember our veterans will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the Keokuk National Cemetery Veteran’s Memorial. Please help our location lay wreaths on as many graves as possible.

Wreaths will be laid prior to the ceremony. If you would like to volunteer to help place the wreaths, please contact Mindy Rude at 309-333-9054 for the date and time or look for her posts on page – Keokuk Wreaths Across America.

Please join us in welcoming Mark Pfaffe to the staff of Printy Funeral Home in Keokuk! Mark is a life-long resident of Keokuk, where he resides with his wife Michelle. An active member of the community, Mark is a deacon at First Baptist Church, a member of McNamara’s Band, and a member of the Keokuk Airport Commission for over thirty years. Mark has formerly served on the school and YMCA boards. In his free time, Mark enjoys traveling to visit his three daughters: Schuyler, Keegan and Madison, spending time with his three grandchildren, and piloting private aircraft. Mark will be a part-time funeral assistant, where he looks forward to serving his hometown community.

Today we use our lungs to say "Thank You!" to those who care for them. As a funeral director married to a Respiratory Therapist, I see how much care and work goes into the patients they serve. We appreciate you!

Hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm, or call 319-524-2340 to schedule an appointment on the weekend. As always, we appreciate the support of our community in honoring our veterans!

When you sponsor a Patriot Pair, one wreath will be placed on a veteran’s headstone at a participation WAA location this December, and a second wreath will be sent to the address of your choice to be displayed as you choose.

It is a great option if you’re looking to participate on National Wreaths Across America Day and remember the service of a veteran in your family, honor the sacrifice of a military family you know, or teach others about the Wreaths Across America mission at a business or at home.
