We commemorated the 4th of July and our cherished freedom with a lively water fight between residents and staff, followed by tasty summer snacks, then cooled down with ice cream sundaes and a movie 🇺🇸

Yesterday, we hosted a houseplant workshop for the residents 🪴. Our Activities Director had clipped cuttings from her personal plants, and they were able to observe them grow in the activity room for a month. They were finally ready to plant, and the residents thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We successfully propagated approximately 26 plants from the cuttings 🌱.

To kick off National Skilled Nursing Home Week, the Mayor signed a proclamation yesterday and today, we participated in tie-dye activities, created paper quilts and played games, resulting in lots of laughter and fun memories 🙂

Today we hosted a Farmer's Market, offering an array of fresh produce, including seasonal fruits and vegetables, chips and salsa, baked pastries, fresh flowers, solar sun catchers, and personal care items. All residents received Farmer Bucks to enhance critical thinking skills and cognitive function. Residents and staff thoroughly enjoyed making healthy choices together ❤️
