Yesterday, the Senate passed their budget reconciliation bill, which includes devastating cuts to Medicaid.

The bill now goes back to the House to vote on as early as today.

Tell your member of Congress to oppose these damaging cuts to Medicaid and vote no on H.R. 1.

I am practicing self love today by letting go of some guilt that I have been holding onto. Just because I have a mental health background does not mean that I will always react in a mentally healthy way to every situation, and that is okay.

March is Women’s History Month

Women's History Month | Dr. Bennett became the first female Resident Physician of a psychiatric facility in 1880, when she was appointed to the Department for Women, State Hospital for the Insane for the South-Eastern District of Pennsylvania, at Norristown, PA.

In 1890, Dr. Bennett became the first female president of the Montgomery County (PA) Medical Society. She joined APA four years later and maintained a private psychiatric practice until about 1900.
