Black History Month Community Recognition
During Black History Month, Shell Cremation & Funeral Service proudly honors Mt. Moriah Outreach Center and the visionary leadership of Bishop Todd Fulton. While modest in physical size, Mt. Moriah’s presence within the Kernersville community is both profound and far-reaching — a true reflection of the enduring strength, faith, and service that define the Black church tradition.
Scripture reminds us that the church is not merely a building, but a living body of believers called to serve beyond four walls. Mt. Moriah Outreach Center embodies this calling through unwavering dedication to the community. Their Bread of Life Food Pantry, serving more than 300 families each month, stands as a powerful example of compassion in action.
Beyond providing nourishment, Mt. Moriah invests in empowerment and sustainability through initiatives including farming, beekeeping, and a summer youth program that teaches the value of self-sufficiency and how to grow one’s own food. Their work represents a legacy of care, resilience, and forward-thinking community leadership.
Shell Cremation & Funeral Service is deeply grateful for community partners like Mt. Moriah Outreach Center, whose service and commitment continue to uplift, inspire, and strengthen the families we are privileged to serve.
