I haven't posted on this site in quite a while. I don't even know if anyone is still connected to me on this page. I guess this is a test run. Many of you see our news at allen.dar. Some follow me on the Great Expectations site. My practice is growing and developing. I will be launching a website for the practice in a month or so. Looking forward to going live with it. I would appreciate any feedback you have once it's up and going.

The process has been really long ... a lot longer and more expensive than I could possibly have imagined. However, the old axiom is true. "Anything that is worth doing will be hard." That said, things are falling into place. I am within a week or so of working with Quality Care Services. I am also on the verge of having an office right here in Kernersville ... which is what I started out to do in the first place. Thank God for his timing. The office space will be free and it will allow me to serve people in the community that the church is reaching out to. I am really excited about the possibilities. For all of my friends, family, and supporters ... if you know of people in North Carolina that are in need of therapy please direct them to my email abacon.greatexpectations@gmail.com. Well friends, I can finally say that the process has come to completion. I begin life as a LCMHCA and a LCAS beginning the second week of November. If you know of someone in the Triad looking for counseling I can be found several places: Psychology Today website, at allenbacon78@gmail.com, abacon.greatexpectations@gmail.com, or by visiting (online) Beautiful Minds Behavioral Health Services in Greensboro.

The bulk of my work, for now, will be done at Beautiful Minds in Greensboro; but I have reserved Friday afternoons and a limited amount of week nights for clients who will be part of my up and coming practice. I will be offering telehealth sessions the second week of November and in person some time in early September. I will announce the location of the coming office as I get closer.

There is so much satisfaction in finishing something that took a lot of effort. Now all that is left is to take the national exam and turn in some paperwork to the state. I am beyond grateful for the support of my family as I walked ... and sometimes crawled ... down this road. May God bless you all.

In the stretch now. I scheduled the "BIG" test for the spring. Classes are are all complete. Great GPA. Love the Mission but looking forward to private practice.

At Last ... finished the last classroom class. Now it's on to finish the internship and the test for licensure!
