Please join the Union Cross team in wishing Tyler all the best for the future. We are incredibly sad to be losing Tyler, but Tyler and his awesome fiancé Alexa are on to new and wonderful adventures! Alexa finished her Masters (congratulations 🎉🎉🎉) and they have accepted amazing positions in Eastern NC.
Tyler has been an important part of our team for almost five years. We are incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to watch him grow and flourish professionally. We would not have survived the last year without him as we transitioned to our new software system! He was our IT guru! He has made us laugh and at the end shed a few tears.

We truly wish you the best🐾

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Marshmallow.

Marshmallow has been a staple of our front desk team for the past three years and we are all heartbroken.

He was so incredibly loved despite being quite possibly the worst employee. He would often be found napping on the clock. Marshmallow would purposefully distract other team members while they were working by putting his fluffy tail in their faces. Not to mention the constant snacking and the crumbs he left everywhere. He had a horrible plastic addiction… no bag of food was safe.

Marshmallow came from the streets alone, but left this world with a big family who loved him and legions of admiring fans.

You will be missed sweet boy🐾

WNC Relief

I know many of you are still looking for ways to help. We just got an update from the NCVMA. Local vets are up and running in some capacity. They are making do with their circumstances.

They need money.
Their clients cannot pay them but the animals need care.
The vets cannot pay their staff, but they are showing up because they are needed.

If you are like me, I am hesitant to give money when I am not 100% sure of where it is going. However, I trust our state organization to get the money to these vets in need. They have been working tirelessly to support WNC since the hurricane hit.

You can go on ncvma.org and donate. You have two options- the General Fund and Disaster Relief. Choose Disaster Relief and 100% of your money will go the the vets in WNC.

This is a big way to support the animals and their caregivers.

The North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association is dedicated to promoting integrity and excellence in veterinary medicine.

I am so grateful to our staff and our clients today. We took close to 500 pounds of food, bedding, and crates to the Forsyth County Humane Society. They will be needing additional support for a long time to help with Helene families.
