First, let me introduce myself. My name is Bennet Murphy. I am normally a beacon of joy and positivity. However, my experience needs to be shared so that others may be spared.
Thursday started out like any other day, until, it wasn’t.
I have always had a great experience at Union Cross Animal Hospital. I’ve been to get my vaccines and have weight checks for my heartworm prevention. The girls are fabulous and I get loads of cookies.
Thursday was different. Don’t get me wrong. The girls were still great, but there were zero cookies. No cheese. No peanut butter. I asked nicely and still got nothing. That’s where I feel like customer service started to take a turn.
They poked me with needles they said had “good stuff” in it. No cookies.
They gave me the most horrendous hair cut. Random naked spot on my arm and half my belly shaved. I mean, thank goodness I don’t have an upcoming photo shoot.
The weird part was that my mom met me in this room. Very cold and sterile. Gave me tons of kisses and told me to count backwards from ten. Whatever. Weird.
I woke up with this stupid blue hat on my head. I mean, at least they gave me tons of blankies and a good pillow to rest on.
I was promised a snack after I woke up. I vomited a paper towel that my mom didn’t see me eat so then they gave me MORE medicine. It’s a racket. It took at least 3-4 hours to get that “snack” I was promised. And that, let me tell you, was a joke. Two tablespoons, if that.
Anyway. I went home that night and ate my blue hat. Whatever. Blue is not really my color. But then…this is how I ended up. And the worst part… I was told it was my fault since I ate the stupid blue hat.
Think twice about going to Union Cross if it involves being spadayded or tutored. Customer service- seriously lacking.
I’ll go back because I believe in giving people second chances and the treat selection is normally pretty decent.
Just a heads up for pups around six months of age. This may happen to you, too.
Sending love and solidarity,
Bennet Murphy🐾
