This way, your body, and mind will only associate your bed with those three S’s - making for a good night’s sleep.

Think for a moment about the grocery store you shop at - is the produce section located along one wall with the dairy located at another wall? The deli section with the meat is probably located along a back wall somewhere too, right? Are things like potato chips, packaged bread, and canned foods situated somewhere in the center?

All the fresh, good-for-you food is more than likely going to be located at the edges of the store, so do your best to buy a majority of your food without entering the center aisles!

It’s easy to fall into the practice of grabbing a candy bar or a handful of pretzels when you’re feeling stressed or overwhelmed. Instead, opt for a short walk, or do a chore that will make you feel productive and satisfied, like washing the dishes or doing a load of laundry.

Or, make yourself a cup of tea instead - it’ll feel like a treat, but won’t fill you up with empty calories. Peppermint, chamomile, and lemon-based teas are all said to help ease the stress!
