July 11, 7:19 p.m. The City of Kerrville, TX - City Hall is expecting a large number of spontaneous volunteers to assist with flood recovery efforts on Saturday, July 12. To help coordinate these efforts, the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) has secured Tivy Antler Stadium, located at 1310 Sidney Baker, Kerrville, Texas 78028, as the official site for volunteer registration and check-in. Check-in will begin at 8 a.m.

All volunteers must register in advance with Texas Community Recovery at https://tcr.communityos.org/. Upon arrival at Tivy Antler Stadium, volunteers will be asked to sign waivers and attend a short safety briefing before beginning any assignments.

This organized effort will help ensure a safe and effective response as the community comes together to support neighbors in need.

NWS ISSUES NEW FLOOD WATCH UNTIL 7 P.M. MONDAY

A quick updated to inform you that we have issued a new Flood Watch until 7 PM Monday.

• There remains a threat of flash flooding from slow moving heavy rains overnight and through the day on Monday somewhere over the watch area.
• Difficult to pinpoint exact locations where isolated heavier amounts will occur.
• An uptick in coverage and intensity of scattered showers and storms is possible overnight near the I-35 corridor and eastern Hill Country, developing west through the day on Monday..
• 2-4 inches of additional rainfall, with isolated amounts up to 10 inches, could fall anywhere over the watch area. Rainfall rates will be very intense in the heaviest showers and storms.
• Any additional heavy rainfall over hardest hit areas of the past few days will lead to rapid runoff and flash flooding.
